UI MAY CHANGE STYLE AGAIN: JAMBITES TO WRITE 2017 POST-UTME

The premier university in Nigeria, University Of Ibadan may conclude to hold her 2017 post-utme as against the just enacted grading system recommended by the Federal Government.

As informed from the Senate Meeting which was held yesterday, Monday 31st July 2017 in conjunction with the jamb registrar Isaq Oleyede have proposed  his approval on the university's decision after reasoning along with the laid down justifications. Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka, the Vice Chancellor of the prestigious university spoke  as regards the students' performance which was not consolidated. He said in a statement 'The student we admitted as of last year, 2016/2017 academic session, are not academically outstanding in performance, imagine a medical student who have A parallel in his WAEC and have 209 in jamb was admitted to MBBS. He also lamented on  students in college of medicine precisely MBBS and Dentistry  who had 4 and 6 respectively over 40 in a test. It has never being heard as regard the the mode of admission abducted by JAMB, students admitted are not performing in equivalence to their JAMB and WAEC scores.
The university Registrar also confirmed that the university may hold her POST-UTME in September but the date for the exam will be disclosed soon.
