I began to wander like a wanderer, wandering about in the land of wonders hoping to perform wonders in order to be called a wonderman rather than being a wanderer. The bone of contention boarders on this statement, "My child, child from a great and highly respectable family, the brilliant child of ours, once more, you have made us proud by gaining admission into the higher institution of learning but put this at your left hand so as not to eat it up, 'remember the child of whom you are". This sentence have been the main message for a child/ ward before heading to an higher institution of learning . The parent / guardian no matter how good or bad the child/ward is at home will always say at least this sentence, why? Maybe they believe in the power of peer-group influence in higher institutions? Who knows? .
Probably, gaining admission and heading to an higher institution is the first time a child would be leaving his parents' roof and guidance to begin a kind of new life without them and also in pursuit of his/her future to ensure and secure a better future going with the aim of making a First Class and coming out topping the class.
On getting to the higher institution, peering actually can make and Mar one's stay on campus, if you move with the ones whom their books and texts is before anyone else, no doubt you should be greatly influenced to make book and texts Your Own priority too, and also if the kind of friends you walk with is that type that only calls you to play around, party, follow girls/boys and do all sorts of bad things, if you did not recall the saying "remember the child/ward of whom you are", being advised before you left your parents' home, you are already going astray and destruction is knocking.
Peering! "The bad gangs", though might be brilliant but when the bad deeds overshadows their thinking, there is no way out, their aim of graduating with a First Class and to top the class is already fading out. Though, it is quite visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, you have to balance the academic, religious and social life for an assured and secured future, if any of the latter overides main purpose of being in the higher institution of learning, a problem is looming.
You continue to receive calls, texts from your parents still trying to remind you of this same sentence "remember the child of whom you are". You kept on pondering over this before taking any step because a dog doesn't just bark if there is no reason.
Don't forget, remember the child of whom you are, so that on the day of your convocation, your parents' will be happy and beat their chest that you took to the advise, and you have already made them proud in front of the crowd by graduating with a First Class, by topping the class and being the best amongst the rest.
