SO FAR: ON POLY IBADAN POST UME
By DAUDA ABUBAKR TUNDE
Please, be aware that the Federal Government through the ministry of education recently lifted ban on the conduct of Post UTME, which means all tertiary institution can now conduct post UTME, of which The Polytechnic, Ibadan is not excluded.
It's important to know that it's impossible for Polyibadan to admit only DPP students and not sell ND Full time. The reason behind the yet to sell ND Full time form is nothing than farther than the face that they are waiting for the steps to be taken by the ministry of education regarding the continual conduct of Post UTME, but thank God post UTME conduction is now confirmed.
We would recall that the ministry of education, headed by Mallam Adamu Adamu in 2016 banned the conduct of Post UTME by all tertiary institution.
Having operated the system no-post-UTME for a year, institutions have realised that students admitted through this system are not sound and this led to lifting the ban on post UTME. Most tertiary institutions in Nigeria have considered the policy of no-post UME as ineffective as it doesn't earn merited candidates admission, hence the push to reverse the policy.
Having lifted the ban, prospective applicants intending to gain admission into The Polytechnic, Ibadan are expected to do Post UTME, excluding DPP, hence they are meant to start preparing for the post UME even when the post UME form is not yet in sale since prior preparation gives birth to the best performance.
It will be irreversible for the institution to sell #2500 screening as she did last year for incoming students and later inform you to pay for a new application form.
ExplorenceBlog suggests that Applicants intending to enrol in ND Full time form should be patient as the form will be out soon. However, applicants should be careful of fraud and misinformation, they are advised to get information from reliable sources, most especially the Poly Ibadan portal and other reliable news sources and also take critical consideration of those they pay for registration once it starts.
