Distance has done its worst,
It set us apart to wide distances on earth crust,
Our coming together, as usual, now became difficult,
But we had a common culture though we're not a cult.
Distance has done its worst,
It took us farther like East to West,
Our bodies far from one another like one asunder,
Yet our hearts come together, so close, now, they wonder.
Distance has done his worst,
Impregnated our trust and brought to crust,
To our amity, it looks like his venom, even on Venus, has
won,
But our spirits tied together in holy matrimony as one.
Distance has done her worst,
She starves our friendship of the milk of her breast,
Sends us apart to journey of miles and time, so far, we have
come,
Yet, without colostrum, our cerebrum never ceases to connect
to form a quorum.
Distance has done its worst,
Its worst is just not enough even with the cost,
Soon, we will together come and see,
Boom, we'll gather rum and finish its sea.
